The Sharpest Minds Series (SMS) is a cash money tournament circuit for elite horseplayers where we aim to crown (and eventually televise) the most profitable bettors based on a simple format of wagering: the win, the exacta, and the trifecta.

Based on how participants perform on our circuit of ten "SMS" tournaments over 12 months, we will crown the top 3 weekend warriors at each tournament and we will crown the top 3 yearly earners, as well as offer graded rankings and statistics for all horseplayers!  The goal is to showcase the best horseplayers in the game and to give them their proper respect along side horse owners, trainers, and jockeys.

The vision came from Christian Hellmers who starred in the reality show "Horseplayers" aired on NBC's Esquire Network. Simply put, he desires to create a platform to compete against the best.  In his tireless pursuit to improve upon the quality, quantity, and formats of cash money tournaments that highlighted the everyday skill set of betting the races professionally, he devised a way to invite the best horseplayers from all over the world to compete for real money, by betting real money, on the three most important wagers.

It is the mission of The Sharpest Minds Series to honor the smartest horseplayers each year and to get this tournament televised.
